Brazil - Natural Red Catuai
Brazil is well-known for their huge coffee plantations, similar to corn fields found in the United States. Brazil is the largest producer of coffee, providing a third of the world's supply.
Our newest Brazilian offering is produced in the heart of Minas Gerais. Carmo de Paranaiba, one of the most renowned coffee regions of Brazil. The coffee is grown at 1087 meters of altitude and the terroir is a mix of Cerrado and Atlantic forest. The owned and run by the Enivaldo family, a husband and wife team along with their adult daughter. They are the 3rd generation generation of farmers.
We've found this naturally processed coffee to have rich dark chocolate notes, with hints of tropical fruits, and a honey finish that sweetens as it cools. It has a cream-like silky mouthfeel, with notes of Dark Chocolate, Acai berries, Dulce de Leche, and honey. We suggest brewing at 203-205 degrees at a 1/16 ratio. Great as a pour-over or french press.
